El pasado 16 de mayo nuestro presidente Santiago Aguilar fue entrevistado por Radio Castilla La Mancha con relación a la situación actual del sector turístico con motivo del Covid19, así como de las previsiones turísticas para este veranpo.
¿No sabe este gobierno que el Turismo aporta a la economía española más ingresos que el petróleo en muchos países productores? ¿Que solamente en Canarias aporta a las arcas públicas 7 millones diarios en impuestos? ¿Que ha sido el motor que ha ayudado a España a salir de todas las crisis económicas padecidas desde los años 60 del siglo XX, incluida la última crisis, de 2009?
Preocupados por el alarmante escenario que se ha originado en el sector turístico español con motivo de la crisis sanitaria del COVID-19, la Asociación Española de Profesionales del Turismo (AEPT) nos dirigimos a la opinión pública, a las instituciones, empresas y profesionales de la industria turística, para manifestar nuestro estupor y disgusto ante los hechos y las propuestas tan dispares, que desde los organismos públicos se están proyectando.
